McMillan 50 BMG Ammunition
McMillan is now manufacturing 50 caliber match ammunition. The projectile is a multiband 746 grain monolithic solid with a rebated boat tail, CNC machined from UNSC36000 brass with a hardness of B78. This projectile has a calculated ballistic coefficient (BC) of 1.088 at 2700 FPS. Its average velocity is 2717 fps when using the McMillan TAC™-50 rifle as a shooting platform. Cartridge specifications include factory sealed primer, sealed neck and powder
weighed to the tenth of a grain. Each round is built by hand, and in final inspection, inserted in a chamber gauge to ensure flawless function in the field. Ammunition is available in 10-round boxes and 50-round boxes. Prices range from $65 to $325. Click here for additional information.
McMillan Tactical Scope Rings
McMillan is manufacturing 30mm and 34mm tactical scope rings in 1" and 1.2" height. McMillan's professional tactical scope rings are precision-machined allowing for true repeatability and combat strength. The McMillan tactical scope rings have a 1/4 minute of angle (MOA) repeatability when using a 1913 Picatinny rail system, so users can remove and reattach their scope with confidence. Rings are machined from solid aluminum, steel or titanium and are made as serialized matched set with caps marked to individual bases for orientation. At Shot Show with Rob Furlong & McMillan
One of the highlights of the 2010 Shot Show for McMillan was having Rob Furlong, former Canadian Sniper, at the McMillan booth on opening day. Furlong is known for executing a confirmed 2,430 meter (2,657 yards) shot in Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda in March 2002. Furlong is credited with the longest successful tactical shot in combat. Furlong used a McMillan TAC™-50 rifle. Furlong greeted attendees and granted interviews to the media.
